Direction for use: Using the applicator brush, apply the lip shade evenly, starting at the contours and then filling in. Allow the lip colour to dry for a few seconds.
Packaging: The lip shade comes packed in a cylindrical tube, quite common to most liquid lip shades. The lower body is in the exact same colour of the shade within, which helps you locate it easily. The cap has a matte texture in black. The cap can be opened by twisting it open out of the bottle.
My opinion about the product: There are only a few liquid lip shades which actually give you the desired result and I must say that this is one of them. The Body Shop lip liquid comes in a very convenient bottle, with an ergonomic applicator. There is nothing special about it but it is shaped conveniently enough to allow easy and defined application, although you cannot be quick with it.
The shades are very pigmented and a single swipe is enough to get the desired colour consistency. The liquid takes only a few seconds to dry completely. The good thing about this range is that the liquid does not feel heavy on the lips even slightly, which is usually the case with most liquid lipsticks. The colour does not even settle between fine lines. The rich creamy texture of the lip shade makes it easy to glide on the lips, which dries down to a matte finish in no time.
You can wear it all day long but it does not make your lips feel heavy even once. Plus, there is no feeling of dryness on the lips either. The colour pay off is so good that the shade lasts for more than 10 hours and does not fade at all. After that, it might fade slightly. It is absolutely transfer proof and barely comes off after eating or drinking. I totally love the velvet matte finish of this lip shade, which keeps my lips free of dryness. Needless to say, since it does not transfer, there is no worry about feathering of the lip colour as well. For the price and quantity, this lip shade is more than economical, since even Nykaa itself comes with only a 4.8 ml quantity of its liquid lip shade at INR 500.
I own three shades of this range – Nairobi Camellia, which is a soft pink colour, perfect for fair tones, Mauritius Dahlia, which is a deep maroon shade and Windsor Rose, which is a nude shade but feels quite light, even for my fair tone. Do take a look at their swatches below.
