I went to Body Shop (January) and splurged on few of the items this foundation is one of them. This foundation is available in different shade and picked chalsea porecelain for myself. I was expecting it to be be a lightweight, watery foundation from the description. Let see how it actually turned out to be 🙂
My opinion about the product: In other countries the shade range is quite broad with whopping 16 shades to choose from. But in our country it is available in 6 Shades for Indian skin tones – 020 Bali Vanilla, 015 Kyoto Blossom, 026 Fiji Sand, 050 Sicly Amber, 055 Yucatan Honey, 075 Caribbean Mahogany. But I have a very fair complexion so I ordered chalsea porecelain (It was an online order). This foundation comes in a pump packaging (transparent bottle with black pump). The pump dispenses out appropriate amount in one press. It’s also got fairly stable sun protection and while I would normally recommend a separate sunscreen (SPF-15) rather than relying on your foundation for sunscreen.
The consistency of this foundation is thin so a sponge may absorb a lot of this foundation. So it is better to apply with a makeup brush because with that it does not leave any patchiness or cakiness behind which is definitely a “Yay” thing. You may apply it with fingers too but it can be a bit unhygienic. It has decent pigmentation, and not much scent one way or the other. Which is a good news for people with sensitive nose. I will classify it as medium to full coverage, and if you have any minor imperfections, they should be pretty well-covered by the foundation. Let’s talk about the staying power which is around 6 to 8 hours depending on the weather. It doesn’t feel sweaty on the skin which some dewy foundations can do. It provides a dewy finish which looks quite natural. I have oily skin so it looks extra glowy. If you have dry to normal skin types then it will give you apt dewy look 🙂 Best thing about this foundation is that it gives you a natural look. Doesn’t feel heavy so you can wear it in day time too.
This is paraben free which is again a good thing. I know! price is on bit higher side but do justice, will make you fall in love with this product.
