In today’s post I will be talking about Tarte Blush 101 Amazonian Clay Blush Palette. I wasn’t supposed to buy this palette but a friend ordered a few makeup products a short time ago and she also purchased it. Through her I came across this one. The little book holds a lot of product too! With 8 blushes, one bronzer and 1 highlighter you really get a lot of products for the price.. I instantly fell in love & could not resist myself from buying it 🙂 I had to pay custom duty along with the product price. Good thing is, the Tarte products are available with international shipping. I wanted to show you a little bit what this palette looks like and also wanted to give you a review. So that you can buy it for yourself (obviously I you like it) & also can gift someone if your budget is around 4 K.
Price: 3,700 Rs
Packaging: The palette looks like a little book. There is also a plastic divider between the two “blush-pages” to keep things clean. It is easy to store, compact and solid enough for travel. If you have a kid at home then do keep it away as they gonna take a second to destroy. I am super impressed with the packaging, brand is really creative. Overall the packaging is just “wow”.
My opinion about the product: As I mentioned above this little book holds 8 blushes, 1 bronzer and 1 highlighter. You get both matte and shimmery blushes and everything from pink to peach to neutral. Basically it includes most needed shades. These blushes have light to medium build-able pigmentation. The texture of the blushes is very soft and fine for blushing as well as for tanning. For me highlighter/illuminator is a little bit drier because it is much less powdery than other powders. It does give a glow but you won’t get a satisfactory result. Now let’s talk about bronzer, it is shimmery and does it job perfectly on fair skin tone. If you are medium or even on the darker scale of light then it will be a bit pale.
So, I will say that I am happy with the blushes and bronzer of this palette but not so happy with the highlighter. I would have never purchased it for highlighter but the blushes & bronzer gives you a reason to buy this palette 🙂 One more thing that if you are looking for budget friendly palette then do skip this one. Really heavy for an Indian pocket.
