Plum e-Luminence Deep Moisturizing Crème| Review

Let me share my experience with one of Plum Goodness’ products – the e-luminence deep moisturizing cream. As an Indian beauty brand, Plum offers a remarkable range of vegan products, and I must say I was expecting this cream to be a true gem! Being a fan of this brand you will find my vanity full of Plum Goodness skin care products. I can’t wait to share my reviews about them too, but for now, let’s begin with this exceptional Plum E-Luminence Deep Moisturizing Crème/Cream. This product is available in different size packaging, the one I have currently is a sample size tube of 15 ml.

How to use it: 

• Wash face with gentle face wash/cleanser and pat dry.
• Dot your face with the dry skin moisturizing cream.
• One dot each on forehead, both cheeks, nose and chin (5 dots in all).
• Gently massage in with finger tips in small upward-outward circles.
• Don’t forget neck area. Use twice a day for best results.

Packaging: In case of full size product (50 ml) the cream is carefully packaged in a sturdy and substantial glass jar to ensure its safety. However, due to its glass composition, it may not be the most convenient solution for travel. Nonetheless, renowned beauty experts strongly recommend storing skincare goods, such as this cream, in glass containers, as they provide a far safer alternative to plastic for both the environment and our bodies. However in the sample size, the cream is packed in a white colored squeeze tube. The tube is travel friendly 🙂

My opinion about the product: This cream boasts a pure white hue and a luxuriously thick consistency. It has a very bad fragrance, to be precise very artificial and I hate it. Unfortunately, it is not suitable for people with acne-prone or oily skin, as I discovered myself. Regardless, my curiosity got the best of me, no doubt inspired by my mother’s use of the cream on her oily skin. I took a cautious approach, determined to give it a shot. First, I cleaned my face well with a gentle facewash. Then, hesitantly, I put 3-4 small spots of the cream onto my face. I massaged it in with a careful touch, hoping for the best.

During the winter, I only had a small window to use this cream successfully. Its quick absorption and non-greasy texture provided relief. However, due to the extreme oiliness, its thick consistency made my skin perspire on hot summer days. Thankfully I purchased sample size product which saved my money 😉

To get around this, I resorted to use the cream after sundown because it lacks SPF protection. Nonetheless, I must confess that it gave my complexion a lovely and luminous shine, which is an undeniable benefit. I think it is going to suit dry skin beauties. I will definitely not going to buy it as it is damn heavy for my oily skin 🙂 If possible, do buy a sample size tube and they can go for the bigger one.
