Direction of use: Depending on the purpose, there are many ways to use tea tree oil. If using for hair, add few drops of the oil in any other carrier oil, like coconut oil. If using for skin, dilute with aloe vera gel or coconut oil since it can be too strong for the skin if used directly.
Packaging: The Body Shop Olive shower gel comes packed in a plastic bottle which is really sturdy. On top is a flip cap, which can be used to extract the product in the desired quantity. A label around the bottle gives you complete information about the product.
My opinion about the product: The oil has a runny consistency and is transparent in color. This makes it less sticky than other tea tree oils and also quite thin, which is why, you will have to be careful with its use. The strong tangy fragrance is okay and bearable. As long as you can manage the glass bottle in your purse, it is also travel friendly, owing to its small size.
Tea tree oil is known to show a major impact on acne prone skin. Applying this oil on my acne and marks has helped me recover from them to a large extent. Pimples disappear quickly and marks have also started receding. All in all, my skin tends to feel light and clear and glows subtly. I have also heard that tea tree oil can be applied on nails for shine and luster on the nails.
Since the bottle comes with a dropper attached to it on top, you will have no problem in extracting the desired quantity of the oil. I have also used this oil for my hair. What I do is, I mix few drops of the oil in my shampoo in a separate bottle and also add a few drops to my hair oil. This really adds a wonderful sheen to my hair, and makes them feel soft. It has also helped in reducing the itchiness on my scalp due to dandruff but the dandruff itself has not vanished completely.
