We Delhi girls have got a blessing in disguise. We are literally living in a shopping heaven. You get best of clothes, jewelry, home décor and God knows what more Delhi markets has to offer. And not to forget all of this are at amazingly cheap rates. Yes, after all the biggest wholesale markets are here only. You can get loads of amazing stuff at shocking prices. Yes, you heard it right. Even the runway trends are available at Delhi shops.
So, I went to one of the best and busiest flea market in Delhi – Sarojini Nagar. Sarojini Nagar is literally a heaven of clothes. And for girls it is a must visit place at least once in every quarter. You might be living on another planet if you don’t know what is Sarojini Nagar. Sarojini Nagar is one of the best place for shopping in Delhi. It is situated in South Delhi and you can get everything right from tops, jeans, dresses, maxi dresses, winter wear and even ethnic clothes. It is quite a big market and I normally visit the market every season.
Thus, this time before summer season begins, I wanted to visit the place. I made a visit to Sarojini Nagar last week. I wanted to visit this time mostly to buy stuff for my night wear. Yes, I wanted some lose flowy and comfortable clothes to be worn at home and I made a trip to Sarojini for the same.
Let’s have a look at what all I bought –
Tees (Rs. 100 Each)
Yes, I got tees at Rs. 100 each. I was looking for some loose and cotton material tees which I can pair with trousers during my summer evenings. And since I have an 8-month-old kid, so my life is quite hectic this time. I needed something very loose and comfortable. And I loved both these tees because they are quite baggy and the fabric is quite comfortable. It is not 100% cotton. It is mixed cotton. I love their quirky prints and colour both.
Trousers (Rs. 200)
I am in love with this trouser. This was not a planned buy. This was just a shopping impulse buy. There was a vendor who was selling quite quirky prints trousers and I picked this one from there. The trouser material is of good quality when compared to my other trousers. And I can easily pair this as my evening wear when I am out to my nearby market or taking the baby on a park stroll.
Trousers (Rs. 100 Each)
This were the planned purchases. I love palazzos. Firstly, they are super comfortable. You can adjust the length of palazzo as per your convenience. Also, palazzo make me look tall and slim at the same time. I love how they look great on them when I pair them with kurtas. And as a part of my daily wear I wanted palazzo but of course they shouldn’t have a lot of flare. And these ones fitted my requirement well.
I wanted something in red and thus I loved the red trousers. And of course love for black is just endless. Thus, the other trousers were picked up in an instant.
Kurtis (Rs. 100 Each)
This was also my planned purchase. I wanted to buy some kurtis which I can pair over my palazzos. I haven’t thought much about pairing while buying them. Any ways I was going to wear them in house so pairing was not much of my concern.
The fabric again is mixed cotton, but I found them comfortable and goof for everyday wear. They are also quite loose.
Kurti (Rs. 150)
This was my first purchase. I liked the kurti because of it’s print and I bought this one. You can say this is a chanderi mixed cotton kurti.
Long Dresses (Rs. 450 Each)
This was my “STAR BUY”. Yes, I totally loved this. These are the long dresses cum kurtis. You can wear them only as a dress or you can pair them with lowers as well. The fabric is cotton and the quality of these dresses are top notch. I loved the print on these dresses. You will come across a number of options in these dresses. And the market is flooded with these long dresses. They come with a belt which you can adjust as per your convenience.
I got 4 of these. I will pick one of them and 3 are for my mother.
Let me know which one should I pick in the comments down below.
That was all about my Sarojini haul. You can visit the market any day of the week other than Monday. The market is closed on Monday. Also, the best way to reach the market is through metro. The metro is situated just outside the market and you can walk from the metro exit to the market.
