I’m a big fan of Maybelline lipsticks, they are affordable, loaded with colors, beautiful texture and of course wide range of shades. I always try to buy at least one shade from their new launches. About last winter I bought Maybelline Color Sensational Velvet Matte lipsticks in shade Matte 6 which was a new launch then but forgot to review. So today I will be sharing my thoughts on this lipstick 😍.
Packaging: It comes in a transparent square bottle with matte black cap which really compliments the whole packaging.. The packaging is exactly similar to their lip polish range. There is a transparent label at the bottom that has the shade name.. A nice and pointy doe foot applicator attach inside by which you can make precise and neat application every time. The applicator fills up with the color so that you don’t have to go back to tube to get more. Overall it looks cute, classy and fun.
Shade:
Matte 6: It is rich raspberry shade, vibrant and sultry. The shade just wakes up my complexion and adds elegance to my whole look from the moment I apply it. This shade would flatter most of the Indian skin tone.
My opinion about the product: As the name says, it has lustrous velvety texture, very soft and creamy. It glides smoothly and evenly in just one go. So it is insanely pigmented. The shade has no shimmer or sheen in it. It goes super creamy when applied but doesn’t set down full matte finish. It looks semi matte with glossy sheen. Unlike most of the liquid matte lipsticks it doesn’t settle down to full matte finish which indeed feels dry and stretchy after few hours of application.

Final verdict: It lustrous, creamy, velvety matte lipstick ever that doesn’t dry up your lips or sits down to lip lines rather that gives a pout perfect look to flaunt every time. One thing, it fades off quickly, so you have to carry it and reapply accordingly. The deep berry shade is perfect of night out or special events which instantly adds sophistication and spiced up your whole makeup look. I would recommend this lipstick to everyone. But if you are a true matte lip shade lover then give this one a miss.
