MamaEarth Woody Brown Long Stay Kajal| Review & Swatches

Generally women (friends, relatives, colleague, readers etc) around me buy products on my recommendation or after reading my reviews. For the first time I purchased something on other’s recommendation. My bestie ‘Nisha’ called me up and was like ” यार तूने जो mamaearth का ब्लैक काजल बताया था ना वो तो अच्छा है ही ब्राउन वाला और भी मस्त है “. I asked her what she like about it and she said “It makes my eyes look bigger and somehow suppresses my dark circles. Won’t lie I didn’t got this point of suppressing dark circles but when a person who is not at all in makeup and skin care suggests something then believe me she is damn serious ❤️ फिर क्या था ले लिया हमने भी! Sorry! Sorry! I forgot to mention the shade name, it is MamaEarth Woody Brown Long Stay Kajal. In this post, I will be reviewing it.

How to use it:

• Apply along the upper lash line from the inner to the outer corner.
• Repeat the same on the waterline.
• You can intensify the color or wing it and you’re done.

Packaging: This kajal comes in an easy fuss free packaging. The pencil is packed in a cardboard packaging (combination of white & green) which looks good. It has all the product details mentioned. The pencil is in the form of a retractable packaging and it is easy to use. The bottom and cap both are white in color and I like it. The product is extremely small (slim) and thus it easily fits inside your  bag or clutch and thus perfect to be applied during loo visits (he he).

Shade: MamaEarth Woody Brown Long Stay Kajal is a brown color kajal. It is perfect for the ‘Clean girl aesthetic’ and the ‘No make-up Makeup’ look.

My opinion about the product: I have already used Charcoal Black Kajal of this range and very impressed with it. So, the expectations were really high.  The actual product comes in a white colored retractable pencil, on which you can see blue, green & black colored fonts which makes this pencil look very pretty. The black version of this kajal is tagged at the price of ₹299 and this one for ₹349 (I found this a bit expensive but the fact is that colored kajal/khols are always tagged at higher price compared to the black one). I judge a kajal with pigmentation and lasting power. And for me the pigmentation of this kajal is unbelievable. It is a dark brown shade which settles into matte finish. It glides smoothly of lash lines & does not pose any breakage issue. The kajal is damn pigmented and single swipe will give you desired result. I used it on my upper & lower lash lines and equally satisfied with the outcome.

The staying power of this kajal is just wow & it stays for good10-12 hours on my lash lines. It is almost 100% smudge proof, even on rubbing eyes you won’t turn into a racoon. You will definitely need a good makeup remover to remove this kajal if you apply it on your upper lash line as eyeliner. I tried to take it off with the help off face wash & water but it didn’t worked. So have to use a makeup remover. I love the fact that this kajal is fragrance free & doesn’t burn or sting my eyes on application. But I feel a bit heaviness on my eyes post application, to be honest I am not able to define this effect. So if you have sensitive eyes then stay careful.

The pencil starts with a fine point but after one or two use it is a thick blunt so definitely not an option if you want a fine line.  Over all I am in love with this kajal & will buy it again and again. I have used almost every kajal available in Indian market & without hesitation I can say that this is the best kajal till date. I am in love with this kajal. Soon will buy other shades like blue, green etc 🙂
