In this post I will be talking about MamaEarth Ubtan Face Mask. When I was scrolling down for face masks on Amazon, I came across this & got to know that it is among Best Selling products.
About the product: Ubtan Face Mask by Mamaearth will give your face a fresh, bright and flawless look and help you achieve a lighter skin tone. Saffron is known to clear spots and lighten the skin tone which helps in enhancing skin complexion. Apricot oil firms and tones skin & due to Vitamin A and E present in it, it also soothes and slows down the aging process. Antioxidants in turmeric protect the skin cells from free radical damage and lighten the skin tone. Dermatologically tested & hypoallergenic, it does not contain any harmful chemicals like SLES, sulfates, silicones, phthalates and artificial fragrances.

How to use it:
- Wash your face with a sulfate free face wash suiting your skin type.
- Dab our face dry and apply a generous layer of face mask on clean face.
- Keep it for 15 minutes, scrub & wash off with lukewarm water.
- For best results, use twice a week.
Packaging: The face pack comes in a tub packaging which is white opaque in nature. The screw lid ensures no leakage of content even during travelling. Apart from Kids Range, Mama Earth has tried to make the Mama range’s too attractive & colorful. This Ubtan packaging is of White and yellow color combination.
My opinion about the product: In India days are really hot in summers. So getting tanned is really common, in such condition Ubtan does a wonder. You can also prepare it by yourself but when you have a busy schedule it is really difficult to get time for DIY. So I ordered MamaEarth Ubtan mask from Amazon. The product is chemical free and it is not at all harsh on skin. This mask is yellowish in color & looks similar to Multani Mitti paste but with slight thick consistency.
It spreads easily on face and can be applied with brush or fingers. However I feel that they (brand) should have provided a spatula with this mask. However you can use a spoon to take out the mask and if you feel that mask is thick, water can be used to dilute the consistency. It generally takes minimum 20 minutes to get it dry completely. After that you can wash it off with normal water 🙂 Now don’t expect any wonder or miracle as it didn’t noticed anything magical post first application. But regular use, say at least twice in a day & you will notice visible results. It is a mask which does a justice to it’s claim but nothing “Wow” about it.

What I don’t liked about the product:
- Fragrance is not that good.
- Difficult to find in local store.
