Wedding season is all around the corner and this is the time when I am experimenting with highlighters. Yes, I am a huge highlighter fan and, in the past, also I have tried with number of highlighters.

Some times back L’Oréal launched this product and thus I thought of buying this one. The highlighter comes in different shade variants. And I chose golden dore. Keep reading ahead to know more about the product.

Ingredients:

Product claims: The ultimate in luminosity! L’Oreal introduces its first liquid highlighter specifically designed to enhance key features or illuminate all-over. True Match Lumi Liquid Glow Illuminator enhances all skintones and undertones. Ice enhances pink or blue tones. Rose enhances yellow, peachy, pink or blue tones. Golden enhances peachy or yellow tones.

Directions for use: Clean your face with a light scrubber or face wash and then let it air dry. Apply a light moisturizer or primer of your choice. Now, there are different ways of using a highlighter. You can either apply it below your foundation on its own or you can combine the highlighter with your foundation. Or you can also use it over the foundation. I personally don’t like using too many products and thus I apply it with my foundation blending both of them together.

Packaging: Coming to the packaging, L’Oréal Paris True Match Rose Lumi Liquid Golden Dore comes in tube packaging. The tube is rose gold in colour which is quite attractive. You can see the tube cap which is shiny golden in colour. The packaging details are mentioned on the tube itself. The product is travel friendly because of it’s compact size and thus perfect to be used for destination weddings as well.

My opinion about the product: L’Oréal Paris True Match Rose Lumi Liquid Golden Dore comes in 3 shade variants – ice, gold and rose gold. Gold is more suited for Indian skin tones. Since the shade is quite strong and the highlighter is also quite visible, thus I recommend to use this one with the foundation.

Texture wise, it is easily blendable. But make sure you take only a pea sized amount. Little amount will go a long way. Coming to the performance, highlighter scores full marks. It does a very good job of highlighting and when use it with foundation then the glow is much more subtle and even.

Lasting power is also quite good. It lasts for a good 8-10 hours. And when you are in colder climates or Ac environment then it will last you for an entire day. In hotter climates, the highlighter might begin to erase and melt.

It has no bothersome smell and thus not an issue with sensitive noses.

What I didn’t like about the product:

1. Pricey.
2. Only 1 shade for Indian skin.
