Hi Cuties!!!
I am back with another lipstick review & this time it is L’Oréal Caresse Lipstick in shade Dating Coral. I love coral anything and this is the nicest coral anything I have got in a good while. As per brand this lipstick has a flutter of kissable, soft, colour. Its delicate texture glides onto lips creating a veil of colour with a luminous shine. It adds a desired pop of color with a meltingly soft application.
Price: 499 Rs
Qt: 2.5 gm
Shade: Dating Coral (301)
Packaging: This lipstick comes in a transparent packaging with silver bullet. The lipstick itself has a domed tip and you get a decent amount of product for the amount. The lipstick has a color coded sticker below which eases identification and is really helpful in choosing a particular color in hurry. I found this bullet a bit heavy in comparison to lipsticks in my collection.
My opinion about the product: It is a pretty nude Coral which is wearable every where like college, work place etc. I don’t like to wear red at work place so these kind of shades (coral, peachy etc) are easily welcomed by me. This shade will suit to women with fair-medium skin tone but definitely not going to suit women with deeper skin tone.
The formulation is creamy, glossy and has the consistency of a lip butter but with a sheer amount of pigmentation. You will find this lipstick more suitable for winters as you need not to apply lip balm before applying this lipstick. It has sheer pigmentation so you need to swipes in twice or thrice but still be will look like a tinted balm rather than a lipstick. So if you have pigmented lips then this lipstick is not for you.
Again the staying power is not so effective & it will stay maximum 3 hours on your lips. It will literally die (Vanish) with the meal. It is not even able to survive a coffee or Tea. So for me it is like paying 499 Rs for a lip balm which I definitely not like. One can easily buy a tinted lip balm in 100-200 Rs.
What I liked about the product…
- Nice shade.
- Smooth texture.
- Nice packaging.
- Does not settle into fine lines.
What I don’t liked about the product…
- Low staying power.
- Not easily available.
- Low pigmentation.
- A bit pricey.
- More like a lip balm.
