Lakme has quite a range of compacts but what makes this one stand out is the fact that it an all round Sun block protection. I usually prefer compact over loose powder, mainly because of its lasting effect and ease of use. Let us see what is in store for you with this compact.

Direction of use:For best results, blend the powder on your face approximately 20 minutes before stepping out in the sun. Might need reapplication every 3 – 4 hours for optimum results.
Packaging:The product comes packed in a usual compact case and I have to give it to Lakme for their unique design which lets you hold the case easily. There is a mirror on the flap of the case and a powder sponge, which lets you apply the product. A thin plastic sheet separates the sponge and the powder. The case comes packed in a cardboard box as well in yellow.
My opinion about the product: Judging the product by its packaging, I am not let down. It is travel friendly, sleek and comfortable to handle with one hand, which is great. There are no shade options for this compact and it claims to be a universal shade. With UVA and UVB protection, the product claims to offer protection from sun but I doubt if this alone is enough in the name of sun protection. I have a fair skin tone and for me, it worked well in terms of mattifying my skin. Judging by the fact that it did not leave behind any streaks of white cast on my face, it is safe to say that it will suit well on most Indian skin tones.
Coming to the coverage of the product, do not expect much. It has a light to sheer coverage, which fails to hide pigmentation or dark spots. However, given its smooth and silky texture, you will find it really easy to blend it on your face. Personally, I felt that my face appeared brighter after its application.
Although it does not leave white streaks on the face, people with dry skin should moisturize their skin prior to using the product since it is likely to highlight dry patches on the face. To some extent, it controlled the appearance of oil on my t zone but it would need reapplication after 3-5 hours for the same fresh and bright look. You can use it over your makeup or even on bare skin and it would give you the same result. For the price and the sun protection feature, you can go for it for daily use purpose. Also, the decent floral fragrance of the compact is a major plus point.
