Bonjour, beautiful people, thinking of lipsticks, now they come in an array of shapes, sizes, formulation, etc. The formulation that has the most popularity has to be liquid lipsticks. Personally I’m even more excited when they’re matte. So matte, I can feel my lip skin falling off in crumbles(not really, that ain’t cute). But yeah, definitely matte. After trying a wide selection of liquid matte lipsticks, I bring to you, hands down my most favorite formulation of liquid lipsticks- JEFFREE STAR VELOUR LIQUID LIPSTICK. The shade I’ll be reviewing today, is named as I’m shook.
Claims: Our liquid lipstick goes on opaque, dries completely matte and stays on for hours! This product is 100% vegan & cruelty-free! (tips before use: exfoliate with lip scrub then apply to bare lips! Avoid food with oil… and no making out, kisses are ok!)
Also, paraben and gluten free.

Packaging: This particular shade from Jeffree Star cosmetics was a part of the JEFFREE STAR X MANNYMUA collaboration, which consisted of two liquid lipsticks and one skin frost. I had purchased the whole bundle when I did, and received three of them in a box, hence, there’s no separate carton packaging for the lipstick on its own, and sadly I do not posses the outer box anymore. However, the lipsticks packaging on its own is super sturdy, it has a screw cap attached with a doe-foot applicator, which makes the application super smooth and without any streaks.
My opinion about the product: When Indians think about importing cosmetics or rather anything from outside the country, it is a matter of intense contemplation as to what to order, how to order, and if you do, there’s always a risk attached, if the product is even going to work well for you or not. So I did have my share of doubts while ordering the lipstick.
So when it did arrive, I have to say, I had a lot of excitement and expectations within me. I can’t possibly begin to explain how amazing this lipstick is. This lipstick by far has the best formulation I have ever used. The consistency is uber smooth, and it applies seamlessly. It gets opaque on the first swipe, and doesn’t bleed AT ALL during the wear, and stayed on for a good 6 hours, without any touch ups. The applicator is perfect for a smooth application. It feels as if there’s nothing on the lips and works best when you need to wear it for longer period of time.
