I am crazy for kajal(s) & hardly leave my home without wearing it. If I ever skip wearing kajal, people start asking “Are you not well’ 😉 Not completely their fault either, I look sick without kajal (he he). You will find approximately every brand’s (branded & local) kajal in my vanity. Here I am spilling my beans about Himalaya Herbals Kajal.

Shelf life: 18 months
Packaging: The kajal comes in transparent twist up bullet tube with a transparent cap. You need to twist up partially and apply minimal pressure while applying otherwise tip will break. The twist up mechanism works perfectly fine but the cap doesn’t fit tightly and can come off in your bag or purse. This may spoil your bag or other stuff inside it 🙁
My opinion about the product: This kajal is jet black in color, remains in a gel form and has subtle shine. So if you are looking for a kajal with matte finish then this one is definitely not for you. The texture of the kajal is very soft, smooth and creamy. It glides easily across the waterline without smudging, budging or applying pressure. I also apply kajal on upper lash line as an eyeliner but using this kajal is definitely not a good idea.
The pigmentation of this kajal is amazing & it is jet black kajal. But the staying power is pretty low. For me it stays only for 1 or 2 hours after that it starts fading and smudging. . Its totally not a smudge proof kajal at all but does not accumulate at the inner corner of my eyes.
To be honest I am not at all happy with this kajal. No doubt is is very economical but for me there is no reason to re purchase it. Only one thing which impressed me about this kajal is that it contains all the herbal ingredients like almond oil, castor oil, triphala and camphor & will suit sensitive eyes as well since it does not contain lead.
