In this post I am reviewing Himalaya Herbals Intensive Moisturizing Body Lotion. I like lotions with cocoa butter fragrance. This my second bottle of lotion with cocoa butter.

Product claims: Himalaya’s Intensive Body Lotion is specially formulated for dry skin. It intensely moisturizes, softens and smoothens your skin. Cocoa Butter’s deep-penetrating, natural ingredients help repair and nourish skin as well as making it supple.


Our moisturizer is enriched with the goodness of Cocoa Butter and Wheat Germ Oil, which replenish the lost moisture in dry skin. Naturally derived ingredients restore skin’s elasticity, leaving it softer and more toned than before.

Directions for use: Apply lotion gently all over the body, with special attention to severely dry areas, slowly massaging in it. Best used after bathing when your skin is the most receptive to hydration.


Packaging: This lotion comes in an opaque, white bottle with a green flip cap. One has to be careful with the cap coz chances of breakage are there. Packaging is very hygienic and travel friendly. The 400 ml or 200 ml bottle could be bulky to slip in your handbag, however, there are smaller size bottles available as an on the go option.

My opinion about the product: The lotion is slight in beige in color. Beware! You may get addicted to this lotion because it’s smell. Lol.. It smells precisely like cocoa butter and this smell remains throughout the day.

The texture of this lotion in neither too thick nor too runny. It spreads easily upon application and is instantly absorbed in the skin. It does not give any greasiness or any other oiliness to the skin. If you have oily or combination skin then this lotion will moisturize your skin really well. You will not have any complaints with this lotion.

I have a super oily skin but due to some reason it is turning extra- dry in these winters. Strange! And this lotion is not able to satisfy needs of my extra-dry skin. So overall it is an excellent lotion for oily to combination skin types but if you have extra-dry skin than you have switch to another lotion.

1. Smells awesome.
2. Fully loaded with goodness of cocoa butter, wheatgerm oil, grape seed oil, olive oil
3. Nourishes repairs and makes skin smooth and soft.
4. Moisturizes well.
5. Travel friendly packaging.
6. Budget friendly.


What I do not like about this product….


1. Not effective on extra- dry skin.
2. Contains EDTA.
3. Contains Parabens.
