Haldiram, Sarojini Nagar, Delhi Review

Happy Diwali!!!If you are from Delhi-NCR region, then you must know Sarojini Nagar Market (also known as SN market). This is one of the shopper’s paradise of the girls. Millions of low priced options force you to roam and shop for hours. After all that hard work, you got to be hungry. Same thing happened with us during our last visit to SN market.

Haldiram is a well-known place and need no introduction. A place where you can get different cuisine (North Indian/South Indian, Chinese, continental etc) under one roof. I have visited Haldiram a lot of time but visited Sarojini Nagar first time.

This is a huge 2 storeyed restaurant. The moment I entered, I found unaccountable amount of people standing and sitting in the restaurant. I felt like standing in a small market. Anyway my brother wanted to eat here, so had a thorough research and at last we found a table for four on first floor.

Then we ordered Paneer curry+ rice, Dal makhani+ rice, Choleybhatura and Masala dosa. This place is centralized Ac but just because of uncontrolled people you will not be able to feel cooling effect. And it is very difficult for me to bear the heat. Because of heat I was not able to enjoy the food. To be honest North Indian was ok but South Indian was disappointing.

One thing I don’t understand is that why they didn’t offer cold water, even I ordered bottle water but that was also not cold. Staff was efficient but to manage this amount of crowd is a difficult job.

Overall I will say this place is big with beautiful interior, effective staff, average food and too many tables arranged there resulting too much crowd. So be prepared if you get push while eating food (To be honest I hate this.). So don’t get angry as this place is heavily crowded and it’s not the fault of other guy too.
