I was pretty satisfied with my regular shampoo, but my wish for long hair pushed me to pick Garnier Fructis Long & Strong Strengthening Shampoo this time. There were two words written in bold on it i.e “Long & Strong” and then what, next moment it was in my bathroom shelf. Here is my complete review about it.
Product claims: Garnier Fructis Long &Strong Shampoo:
1. Helps strengthen the hair fibre.
2. Smoothes the hair fibre.

Shelf life: 36 months or 3 years

Directions for use: Lather, rinse, repeat if required. Follow with Garnier Fructis Long & Strong conditioner. Can be used daily.
Packaging: This shampoo comes in a green colored plastic bottle. It is a huge bottle with a super cool pump which helps in avoiding extra spillage. Various details are provided at the back of the bottle. Over all packaging is very cool and attractive.
My opinion about the product: This shampoo is pearly white in color and has a quite runny consistency. It has a lovely fruity fragrance but not excessively strong which leaves your hair smelling good after every wash. I am gifted with nice & problem free hair, only problem is my oily scalp. After second day of wash, it seems like that I have oiled them. Due to this reason I need to shampoo my hair thrice in a week followed by conditioner.
This shampoo doesn’t lather much so you end up with using comparatively larger amount to get the desired result. To be honest I prefer a shampoo which lathers well. It is easy to take out this shampoo completely from the hair without leaving any residue. After using this shampoo, I have noticed that it
was much easier to brush my long hair.
The main claims of Garnier Fructis Long & Strong Strengthening Shampoo are to prevent hair breakage and split ends problem. I don’t have these problem so can’t really comment on that. But as I said main reason of buying this shampoo was my greed of having long &strong hair. I didn’t noticed any significant growth in length of my hair but it definitely makes hair stronger.
Overall I found this shampoo an average product, nothing exciting about it. I wish one day I will find a shampoo which will have some magical effect on my oily scalp.
What I like about this product….
1. Makes hair squeaky clean.
2. Smells great. (if you like fruity scents)
3. Reduces tangles if shampooing is followed by conditioner.
4. Cute packaging.
5. Easy availability.
What I do not like about this product…..
1. Doesn’t lather well.
2. The product can get over quickly due to its runny texture.
3. Contains sulphates and many more chemicals known to harm hair.
