Elle 18 Mulberry Splash (Shade no: 19) Color Pops Lipstick Review

Hello Pretties!!!It has been many days that I haven’t reviewed any lipstick on my blog. The reason is, I am not a regular user of lipsticks and usually prefer tinted balm for daily use. Some days back my friend recommended me Elle-18 Mulberry Splash shade no: 19. So why wait, I bought it online instantly and here is my complete review about it. Product claims: A blast of color with punch of Cocoa. The intense moisturizing core in the center protects and cares for your lips.

* Glides easily on lips.
* Value for money.
* Gives a deep tint with one spread. Ingredients: Cocoa butter nothing else is mentioned on packaging.

Price: 120 Rs Wt: 4.3 ml

Shelf Life: 30 months

Staying Power: Its staying power is not so good. One needs to do touch up frequently.

Fragrance: It has fruity fragrance. Online availability: It is available in various stores like Amazon, Flipkart, Jabong, Snapdeal, Junglee etc.

Packaging: Elle 18 lipsticks come in a very black plastic packaging with a girl in pink printed over it. The sticker of white color at the bottom displays the shade number and name. Apart from cocoa butter no ingredient is mentioned on packaging. The rotating/retractable mechanism works very well and the cap shuts with a click. Overall the black and pink combo is adorable.

My opinion about product: I bought this lipstick online on recommendation of my friend. According to her this shade will look nice on all skin tone. I never gave a second thought before buying it. I accept, it was completely my mistake as it is always better to use tester before buying any shade (which is possible only in outlets or shops).

It is a purple-lilac shade, which is pretty different from regular shades. This lipstick has a creamy texture and glides smoothly on the lips. It has a lip balm in the center of the lipstick which makes it moisturizing. With cocoa butter it gives a glossy effect like you have a balm.

The swatches of this shades looks very beautiful but when you apply it on your lips then effect is completely opposite. To be honest, I look weird after applying this shade. This shade is perfect for Halloween party. As usual the staying power is not so good. One needs to do touch up frequently i.e within 2- 3 hours. It fades away more early with every meal or drink.

No doubt it is not possible to get lipstick of this quality at the price of Rs 120 only. But this shade is pretty strange and will make you look very horrible.

What I like about this product….


1. Enriched with Cocoa Butter.
2. Bold colors.
3. Creamy texture.
4. Economical.
5. Very moisturizing

What I do not like about this product….

1. Has low staying power.
2. Horrible shade.
