Elle 18 calls itself a brand for teenagers. I am not a teenager still loves this brand, reason is that this brand provides best at the economical price. I own many products of this brand like nail paint, compact, lipsticks, lotion, kajal etc. In 2018 Elle-18 launched the Color Pops Silk Lipstick range with 7 beautiful shades. They have the most affordable collection with lovely shades. I own shade W52 of this range, this shade is similar to Mauve Date shade of Elle 18 Color Pops Matte Lipsticks range.

Packaging: The packaging is very confusing as each range of Elle-18 lipstick looks same. It is very difficult to differentiate that it is silk or matte. It comes in a same very black plastic packaging with a girl in pink printed over it. The sticker of white color at the bottom displays the shade number and name. This small size cutie easily slips in my purse or clutch. Overall packaging is super cute and sturdy enough.
My opinion about the product: Elle 18 Color Pops Silk Lipstick W52 is a very jazzy violet shade with an ashy undertone, which makes it a unique lipstick shade for winters. But this looks equally pretty in summers too. The lipstick has a nice pigmentation; it will give you a very soft & natural look. The lipstick has creamy texture, glide smoothly on lips. It does not have a lip balm in the center but still moisturizes your lips well.
This shade complements my skin tone (wheatish skintone) beautifully. It is perfect for almost all skin tones. This lipstick doesn’t have any shimmer & provide coverage to even pigmented lips. The formula has a nice silky and creamy texture which never dries out my lips. The formula is not patchy, feels lightweight, and is comfortable to wear too. But, after a meal, the center of my lips feel a little dry but you can fix it with a lip balm 🙂 Being creamy lipstick, it does transfer a lot, still doesn’t create a mess around the lip area.
The staying power is around 4 to 5 hours, after that it starts to fade and leaves behind a light stain. It doesn’t survive heavy meals but does survive normal snacks. This shade will suit to all skin types and probably the best lipstick in this price 🙂 A must have shade for everyone.
