Elle-18 Color Pops Matte Selfie Red (R34) Review & Swatches

If you follow me on Instagram then you will definitely know that how much I love taking selfies. So when Elle-18 launched the ‘Color Pops Matte Lipsticks’ range in India with 20 beautiful shades, my first choice was selfie red (जो सेल्फी से करे प्यार वो कैसे करे सेल्फी रेड से इंकार 😜) shade from this range. Unfortunately at that time I was not able to find this shade in local stores of Gurgaon & ended up buying two shades i.e Let’s Tango & Mauve Date of this range. But finally I managed to get this shade  💃and sharing with review with you all.

Packaging: There is bit improvement in shape of the lipstick tube. It comes in a sleek black casing with a girl in pink printed over it. The sticker of white color at the bottom displays the shade number and name. This small size cutie easily slips in my purse or clutch. Overall packaging is super cute and sturdy enough.

My opinion about the product: It is a warm red shade, a kind of shade which newly married girls will love to wear. Brand claims it to be a matte lipstick but it is not at all matte in fact it has a satin moist finish. It is highly pigmented and two swipes will give you opaque finish. It effectively covers pigmented lips too.

It doesn’t contain any shimmer & looks absolutely gorgeous.  As usual it also has a yummilcious fragrance which fades away soon. The lipstick has creamy texture and glide smoothly on lips. It has a light weight formula that easily sits on the lips. Staying power of this shade is 2 to 3 hours and a heavy meal (lunch & dinner) will completely kill it. It does transfer so you have to be careful while eating or sipping.

Taking off this lipstick is very easy, all you need is water. He he..So if you are a red shade lover than you should definitely go for this lipstick as it is a safe red shade i.e it will not look too bold and also going to be very light on your pocket.
