I for one definitely use separate moisturizers for my AM and PM skincare routines. When it comes to a brand like Dot & Key, I have a special love for their moisturizers. My oily skin loves their formulations in terms of their texture and finish on the skin. Read on to know more about my experience with their Cica and Niacinamide Night gel.
About the product:
1. Infused with Cica, Niacinamide, Hyaluronic Acid & Green Tea.
2. Helps heal acne, soothe inflammation & fade acne scars and dark spots.
3. Reduces the frequency of acne breakouts while providing skin with balanced hydration.
4. Oil-free, fragrance-free & non-comedogenic with a lightweight, gel texture.
Category: A night gel is basically a moisturizer designed to be used during the PM skincare routine. It can have a gel or creamy texture, to suit the needs of different skin types. Dot & Key’s products have been my all-time favourite since they suit my skin type very well. I have been using their Cica and niacinamide Night gel religiously during my PM skincare routine since the last 3 weeks and here is my verdict on the product.

Quantity: 60 gm
I would say that it is a really sweet deal at this price, especially considering that the product is most likely to last for you at least 45-50 days.
How to use it: Make sure that your face is clean before using the product. Depending on your preference and choice of other skincare products, you may want to apply a serum before this moisturizer. Also, some of you may want to apply it on a damp face. Either ways, the product is amenable to be used in any of these ways.
Packaging: The most attractive aspect of dot & Key’s packaging is their glass jar in a unique dome shape. Though beware since it is quite heavy and most likely no travel-friendly for most. The product is concealed behind a plastic lid and a twist and turn cap. This one time, I dropped their jar of another product. Although nothing happened to the glass jar, the plastic lid chipped and cracked on one side. So, overall, I would say that the product container is a bit heavy maintenance.
My opinion about the product: As I have already stated above, I am in love with the formulation of this product. The moisturizer contains Cica, Niacinamide, green tea and hyaluronic acid, all of which are loved by my oily skin. Although the brand makes several claims about how the product helps to heal acne, soothe inflammation, fade acne marks and dark spots, what I love the most about it is that it offers a balanced hydration to the skin.
The product has a thin gel texture that spreads so smoothly on the skin. It gets absorbed without any fuss and leaves no sticky residue on the skin. Next morning, I wake up to smooth and supple skin that feels soft to touch. Also, my skin does look excessively oily the next day after applying it.
Since the ingredients in this moisturizer are so gentle and effective, they may help in controlling acne to some extent. If you are someone with a similar skin type, I will highly suggest that you go for this product. You need a little quantity for daily application. So, the product is likely to last with you a good time.
What I like about the product…
· Highly effective ingredients
· Super suitable for oily skin
· Comfortable gel texture
· Non sticky formula
· Affordable and economic
What I do not like about the product…
· Not travel friendly
· Bulky packaging
