Summer has arrived, and for me, aloe vera gel is a must-have. While I have an aloe vera plant at home, I prefer not to apply fresh gel on my face. Although I use it for my hair, I hesitate to use it on my face, possibly due to the smell or texture. Regardless, I acknowledge the numerous benefits of aloe vera gel for the skin and hair. To address this, I purchased Dabur Aloe Vera Gel from Vishal Mega Mart, as it wasn’t readily available online. Surprisingly, I only found one seller offering it on Flipkart, and that too in a set of three. I’m sharing this review, but it’s uncertain whether you’ll be able to locate it online or not.
About the product: Dabur Aloe Vera Nourishing Gel features a non-oily and non-sticky formula, comprising 95% pure aloe vera juice to effectively moisturize, soothe, and promote skin healing. Enhanced with essential vitamins A, E, C, and F, this gel serves as a comprehensive solution for maintaining healthy skin. Free from artificial colors, parabens, and silicones, it is suitable for all skin types. This gel nourishes and hydrates the skin, imparts a soothing effect on sunburnt skin, and promotes a natural, radiant glow.
Ingredients:
Price: ₹ 95
Quantity: 150 gm
How to use: Apply a thin layer every day on face and neck for a fresh and nourishing feel.
Packaging: This gel comes in a white colored transparent squeeze tube with a white color flip top cap. Product is visible and you can see the amount of product left. All the required details are printed over the back of the tube. The cap is a bit tight and shuts well to prevent any leakage which makes it safe to carry while travelling This brand keeps packaging simple but yet effective.
My opinion about the product: The product boasts a light green hue and a transparent, gel-like consistency. While it carries a mild fragrance that may pose a concern for those favoring fragrance-free options, the scent diminishes shortly after application. Providing a refreshing sensation upon application, this versatile product is suitable for all skin types and is ideal for daily use after sun exposure.
Specifically designed to address skin concerns following sun-exposed activities or travels, it imparts a soothing effect. Even when generously applied, it swiftly absorbs into the skin within minutes, leaving it feeling soft and supple. Personally, I’ve incorporated it into my evening routine, replacing my regular moisturizer to maintain soft and rejuvenated skin after a day in the sun.
Additionally, I find it effective as a prelude to my morning routine, applying it before my BB creams and CC creams. This ritual ensures my skin is instantly moisturized, and I am delighted with the results. Although I reserve its use for my face, as I have long hair, opting for packaged aloe vera gel is not practical for my hair care needs. For my hair, I rely on fresh aloe vera gel and am equally content with the results. In summary, I am thoroughly pleased with this product.
What I like about the product…
- Soothing and refreshing.
- Contains Aloe Vera and Glycerin to keep skin supple.
- Mild fragrance which does not linger on for long.
- Decently priced.
- Protects from sun burns, itching and peeling issues.
- Does not cause any breakouts or irritations.
What I do not like about the product…
- I can only think of the fragrance could be downside for some.
- Availability is definitely an issue. I have a doubt that it is a discontinued product.
