Hey Pretties!!!If you are among those people who think that Bio Oil is used only in pregnancy, then I would say that you are wrong. Even I had the same concept in my mind just sometime before. But one day when I saw it in one of my cousin’s shelf. I found written on it that it is useful in scars, uneven tone, anti-ageing skin etc. So I never wasted more time in buying it. Here is my complete review about it.
Product claims: Bio Oil is a specialist skincare product that helps improve the appearance of scars, stretch marks and uneven skin tone. Its advanced formulation, which contains the breakthrough ingredient purcell in oil, also makes it highly effective for numerous other skin concerns, including ageing skin and dehydrated skin. Bio Oil is formulated with all natural ingredients as it is a non-comedogenic (acne genic), hypo-allergenic product that is suitable for use by individuals with sensitive skin.Ingredients: Vitamin A, Vitamin E, Calendula Oil, Lavender Oil, Rosemary Oil and Chamomile Oil.
Price: 450 Rs Wt: 60 ml
Online availability: Snapdeal, Fortishealth, Amazon, Flipkart, Newu etc.
Directions for Use: Apply twice a day for a minimum of 3 months. During pregnancy apply from start of second trimester.
Packaging: This oil comes in a transparent plastic bottle which has a white color screw cap. On a distant view, this bottle looks as if it is made up of glass but this bottle is made up of plastic and is very light weight. Actually when I was clicking it’s pictures (I was doing it on first floor of my house), it felt down and you can see there is no effect of fall on it. This shows the quality of packaging and there is no chance of spillage at all.
My opinion about this product: The oil is slightly orange in color and has a very nice fragrance which fades away after sometime. Initially you would feel the stickiness of oil after it’s application on face but later you would get accustomed to that. This oil is very light and non-greasy. If you have oily skin and are scared about using it on your face, then I would like to say that I have a very oily skin and don’t face any such problem.
I usually apply it on my face, wounds, scars and burn marks (as I am amateur in cooking, so burn marks are quite obvious. Lol) especially going to bed. The good thing is that it doesn’t stain my clothes and pillow. The instruction says you need to use it regularly for 3 months to see desired result but I can notice them even earlier. One of my cousin also used it when she was pregnant from 4th month of her pregnancy and according to her this oil helps in reducing tummy itching and stretch marks. So overall it is a decent product which works effectively on scars, stretch marks uneven tone, anti-ageing and dehydrated skin.

Please list all the ingredients other than natural oils. If it has parabens, mineral oil its not at all asafe product to be used in pregnancy.
Mineral oils are something which are not plant based rather comes out along with petroleum products. MAkes your skin light sensitive over aperiod of few months. I would suggest please use it for some weeks and then follow up on this post.
