Lip creams are the new trend in the market. These are a type of lipsticks but they are more like a liquid lipstick. They have a thick liquid like texture but when they are set on lips then they dry out into a matte finish lipstick. What’s the USP of this lip creams are that they are extremely moisturizing and has a 100% matte finish on lips.
This is my first time with lip creams and I bought this lip cream from the house of ADS Matte me. One fine day while mall hopping, I was browsing through lipsticks and that’s when I came through this lipstick. So, let’s read along the review to find out ADS Matte Me Ultra Smooth Lip Cream 409 Rose Blossom fared or not.
Direction for use: Clean your lips. Scrub them either with a tooth brush or with sugar granules. Lightly rub them and then wash it off with water. Apply the lip cream with the applicator and apply it lightly on your lips. Don’t keep on re-applying otherwise the final application will be quite messy.
Packaging: ADS Matte Me Ultra Smooth Lip Cream 409 Rose Blossom comes in slim and retractable packaging. The packaging needs to be twisted and then the applicator will come out. You can see the shade name at the base of the lipstick. Overall, the lipstick comes in a quite slim packaging which is extremely travel-friendly.
My Opinion on the product: ADS Matte Me Ultra Smooth Lip Cream 409 Rose Blossom has a rose shade but with a twist. Rose Blossom has a light pink tint which looks absolutely gorgeous in day light. It’s such a day time shade that it will perk up the complexion immediately. But the shade has a cooler skin tone finish and it will suit only fairer skin tones. Even medium to dusky skin tones will not find this color flattering on them. They might look a bit washed out with this color.
The lip cream has a smooth consistency but it will definitely turn messy if you keep on reapplying the lipstick. Also, you need to be real quick with the lipstick. Because if you want to set the lipstick a little later then the entire lipstick application will turn messy. But the lasting power of the lipstick is simply superb. The lipstick lasts easily for 6-8 hours and it survives light meal and drinks. But with heavier meals, the lipstick starts fading away from the middle. So, for me, lipstick gets full marks in terms of staying power.
But one of the biggest con with this lipstick is that it is slightly thick in texture. So, it is a bit difficult to apply and extremely difficult to correct on lips. So, once if you are going wrong with the lipstick, it’s almost impossible to correct.
