I have remembered those days when my makeup stash contained only two products – one compact and a kajal. And now I have few foundations, concealers, bb creams but I really like to go with just a tinted moisturizer and a good coverage compact powder on everyday basis. So a compact or pressed powder is really an essential product for a girl’s makeup kit. It sets those liquid foundations and cream concealers, control oil secretion and gives a mattifing smooth base which allows makeup to last long 😍.
So today I’m talking about my Holy Grail compact powder which is L’Oreal Matte Magique All in one matte transforming Compact powder. I’m in shade G1 .I really can’t remember any day when I did not wear it, if I went experiencing with another compact, I finished off applying this. That’s how I love it. So without any further ado let’s jump into its nitty-gritty details.
Price: Rs. 399/-
Packaging: Compact comes in transparent round plastic case with white and fuchsia detailing which indeed looks so attractive and stylish. It further comes in a fuchsia cardboard box which carries all necessary information. There is a separate compartment below the powder for the storage of mirror and sponge. The lids shuts firmly enough so you just slip it into your purse or handbag and forget.
My opinion about the product: The compact has very soft, silky texture, much on the creamy side. It doesn’t have any fragrance as such. The best part is that is gives a light coverage, so you can wear it only by itself which gives you a soft, matte, even tone skin. It does soften the look of pores and gives a satiny matte look. It controls oils but at the same time doesn’t dry up the skin or looks cake-y. I really hate those compact that overly drying the skin and looks powdery by time. It mattifies my oily skin upto 2-3 hours after that my skin is getting the shininess back. So this is when I need touch up. It is an excellent setting power for liquid foundation and cream concealer. It gives smooth and even finish every time.
The best things to be mentioned is that L’Oreal has launched 5 shades variant in this range though keeping the price point so affordable. The power has SPF 34 and PA+++ as well, so it is ideal for day time wear.
My rating: 4.5/5.
Where to buy: You can buy from amazon and nykaa.
Final verdict: I just love its soft fine texture which gives a light coverage too. So this could be best fit for those who don’t wear foundation on daily basis. For me it is the best budget compact powder till now and I can resist myself wearing it daily. So if you are in need of new compact powder, I would highly recommend this compact to try out.
