We are getting a lot to messages to review Patanjali Baby (Shishu Care) Cream. I have used this cream for my boy when he was 7 months old. I never reviewed it on blog because this cream has nothing to discuss about. No doubt Patanjali products are budget friendly but this cream is among those products which I will not gonna try even if it is free of cost. Shelf life: 24 months from the manufacturing date.
Direction of use: Apply gently on baby’s face & body after bath & before bedtime. Avoid area around eyes.
Packaging: When it comes about Patanjali products packaging, I don’t have much to say. Packaging is as usual basic and simple. This cream comes in a white colored squeeze tube with a screw cap. This tiny tube easily slips in the bag which makes it extremely travel friendly. There is nothing much to rave about the packaging but it will be wrong to expect to much from a cream tagged at price of 40 Rs.
My opinion about the product: I bought this cream from the Patanjali Mega store near to my place. It is white in color and has a very nice consistency. It is neither too thick nor runny is nature, still you need to make efforts to make this cream get absorbed into skin. You need to massage it for 1 to 2 minutes to make it absorbed into baby’s skin which can be irritating when you are in hurry or winters. We all know how quick a baby gets irritated. This cream gets settled into the fine lines & groves of the baby’s skin which results in white caste on the skin.
This cream has a weird fragrance which is not at all bothering. But you will never like your baby to smell like it 🙁 We all want our babies to smell really good. है ना mommies? This cream keeps a baby’s skin moisturized for 3-4 hours and after that you need to reapply. So you need to apply it 3 or 4 times in a day to keep baby’s skin hydrated. Overall I didn’t liked it much and will not recommend to anyone. However if you want it can be used as a hand cream but definitely not for the baby.
What I like about this product:
1. Decent packaging. 2. Available at very decent price. 3. Easily available in local as well as online markets.
What I do not like about this product….
1. It takes time get absorbed into skin. 2. Not suitable for dry skin. 3. Leaves white cast.
