I’m back with another review, this time for the Glow & Lovely Brightening Face Serum. I’ll keep it brief since this product doesn’t seem to be available online, and I’m not sure if it’s been discontinued or not. I found this small bottle in a local supermarket and decided to try it since sample sizes are a great way to test a product before committing to the full size. Initially, I thought I’d purchase the full-size version, but after trying it, I wasn’t impressed. So, I won’t be buying it, and even if I had liked it, the fact that it’s so hard to find would make it difficult to repurchase (full size variant).
Ingredients: Nothing is mentioned
Price: ₹ 79
Quantity: 7 ml
Shelf life: 3 Years
How to use it: After cleansing, apply 2-3 drops to the entire face and neck and gently massage till the serum gets absorbed. Follow it up with moisturizer or sunscreen.
Packaging: This serum comes in a pink colored plastic bottle with a white dropper. The dropper’s tube itself is made of plastic, while the white cap is rubber. The cardboard packaging has a very feminine design, featuring a silver and pink color scheme. All the product information is printed on this cute box, but unfortunately, the complete ingredient list is missing. I have to say, the compact packaging makes it very travel-friendly. However, the main issue is with the dropper, which doesn’t work properly—possibly due to its small size—so I’ve been using it without the dropper. I know many of you might not like that!
My opinion about the product: The serum is a white colored liquid which has a lightweight, non-greasy texture, making it ideal for those with oily skin. It applies effortlessly, absorbs quickly, and leaves no sticky residue. Perfect for anyone who prefers a serum that feels light and non-heavy on the skin. Niacinamide (Vitamin B3), the key ingredient in this serum, offers numerous skincare benefits. After adding it to my routine, I saw a noticeable decrease in my skin’s oiliness. Its soothing properties also make it ideal for sensitive skin. I experienced less redness and irritation, which is a significant advantage for anyone dealing with skin sensitivity issues.
I’ve nearly finished this small bottle but haven’t noticed any visible reduction in dark spots or improvement in my skin’s texture. To be clear, I’m not referring to skin lightening, but rather a more spot-free, radiant complexion. The serum’s hydration is also lacking—it might work in the summer for those with oily or combination skin, but even with my oily skin, it doesn’t seem to hold up well in the current in-between weather (neither summer nor winter).
Overall, I would say this serum is not worth spending your money on, and I definitely wouldn’t buy it again. However, it’s worth noting that the serum is unavailable, so even if I had liked it, I wouldn’t be able to repurchase it.
