Summer and sunscreen goes hand in hand right? And with all the global UV index rising and all, its high time that you should start incorporating sunscreens in your daily routine. Trust me, how much ever you spend of high end skincare products, those are definitely not gonna show any result unless you are using sunscreen religiously – because, as they say, ‘treat the root to taste the fruit’!
To be honest, I have had quite a lot of struggle in getting that ‘Right’ sunscreen for myself – while some leaves ghose like white cast, others make skin dull. So in this post, I am gonna talk about one such sunscreen, more or less, with which, I started my sunscreen journey – and that is, Neutrogena SPF 55 sunscreen.
About the product: As far as I remember, Neutrogena is one of those brands which were first in the game of launching sunscreen and was widely popular. Falling for the brand and its good will, I got hands on their sunscreen. Though I like the texture of this one, it gives a major white cast!
Ingredients
Price: INR 655
Quantity: 88ml
Direction for use: Be it summer/winter, sunny/cloudy, you SHOULD use sunscreen in the day time! I use sunscreens right after taking a shower in the morning – and if you are a makeup person, use sunscreen as the base and go for makeup on top of that.
Packaging: This one comes in a tube, which is leak proof and also makes it travel friendly.
My opinion about the product: To be honest, this sunscreen was loved by me when the market wasn’t thriving with newest sunscreen launches on an almost daily basis. But now, with so many new launches of sunscreens from every other brand, I would not repurchase this. And the biggest no-no for this one is its White Cast! This one gives a really terrible white cast – due to which I avoid using it on my face these days. At max, I am using it for my hands, that’s all!
What I like about this product:
- Wide availability
- Broad spectrum sunscreen
- Travel friendly packaging
What I do not like about this product:
- Very high white cast
- Can make your skin sticky if you already have oily skin
- Gives a silicony feel
- Piles up after sometime of application
- Price is on the higher side
