Hello Gorgeous!
After trying my hands on Clovia Botaniqa Pink Clay Face Mask, I also tried Matcha mask of the same brand. I would have never purchased it but as it is a PR sample so no money is harmed for buying it 😉 In summers you automatically gets attracted towards Aloe vera based products. Aloe Vera is supposed to work on hyperpigmentation and my skin is going through it post delivery. Also, the presence of Matcha Tea makes expectation that it will help in reducing pimple or acne. So over all my expectations were super high from this product.
About the product: Clovia Botaniqa Matcha Green Tea Face Mask is Made in India and is a natural product with no toxins, paraben or sulphate. This face mask is enriched with organic extracts like aloe vera, matcha green tea & seaweed for a revitalized and rejuvenated skin.
Ingredients:
Price: 499 Rs
Quantity: 50 gm
How to use it:
Step 1: Apply Clovia Botaniqa Matcha Green Tea Face Mask evenly over cleansed face & neck, avoid the eye area.
Step 2: Give it about 10 minutes to dry off completely.
Step 3: Gently remove with lukewarm water and pat dry using a soft clean towel. Use once a week for healthy, moisturized & supple skin.
Packaging: The packaging is similar too the Pink clay mask (apart from color combination), it comes in a transparent glass pot with a white lid. The pot has the brand name and other important information about the face pack. The glass pot comes in a White & Green colored outer box containing instructions to use, ingredients, about, price etc. It is advised to be used twice in a week as it consists of all natural and organic ingredients, it is safe for frequent application.
My opinion about the product: The mask is green in color (as it contains aloe Vera, green matcha & sea weeds). The mask is far more creamy and easier to apply than other face mask; you can use fingers if you don’t have a brush. Using a brush is purely just for precision and possibly a more even application than fingers. I am using this face mask twice in a week.  I apply a thin amount of the mask to my face and was pleasantly surprised at how far this mask went, meaning even though it seems like a small pot it will offer quite a few applications.
There’s no tedious green tea leaves to worry about falling off your face with this one. The mask does have a “tingling” effect, but is more of a cooling and numbing effect for me.
Both times I have used the mask I haven’t had any reactions other than this numb feeling but it’s nothing worrying for me so I’ve continued to massage it into my skin as instructed, then waited 10-15 minutes. The mask turns from green to fairly transparent once massaged in and washes off a lot easier (and less messier) than the charcoal masks! When washing off, I used circular motions again to massage off and exfoliate the drier areas. It has Sea weed which is known for anti-inflammatory properties for treating acne and helps in tightening skin with its anti-ageing properties. And it works on pimples or acne, regular use also reduce hyperpigmentation 🙂
I would definitely recommend this mask for anyone with combination skin or oily skin. I wasn’t uncomfortably dry after using the mask but definitely felt much better after applying a moisturizer.
