A good skincare routine is almost incomplete without a toner in the regime. I have been using toners from The Beauty Co. which offers 4 different varieties of toners – Tea tree, rose, aloe vera and cucumber. My experience with each toner is almost the same and incredible, if I must say.
Ingredients: Please refer the image below
Price: INR 450 each
Quantity: 200 ml
Shelf life: 2 years (Should be used within 6 months of opening)
Directions for use: As indicated on the product, you can soak a cotton pad or ball with the toner and swipe it all over your face. Alternatively, you can pour a few drops on your palms and just spread them and tap them all over your face until the toner is absorbed.
Packaging: The Beauty Co. toners come packed in a plastic bottle with a screw cap on top. The cap offers an outlet for the product by pressing down one side of it. The bottle itself has a sticker around it with all the vital details about the product printed on it.
My opinion about the product: I use toners in my skincare routine to hydrate and refresh my skin. Since we never know the actual pH level of our face cleansers, it is nice to use a toner which balances out the pH of the skin after a face wash. Toners can also remove the dry and stretchy feeling that you can get after washing your face with a foaming face wash.
The Beauty Co. toners do an excellent job of revitalizing the skin after cleansing. Here are some of the benefits that I felt after using each of these toners:
- Tea tree: calms the skin, keeps the skin hydrated and fresh, reduces redness and inflammation
- Rose: Has a moisturizing effect on skin which adds a brightness on the face
- Aloe vera: Adds a soothing effect on skin and keeps excess oil at bay
- Cucumber: Adds a cooling sensation on the skin and reduces inflammation
Collectively, these toners certainly help to keep the pores tight and even out the texture of the skin. For me, the best thing about using these toners is an instant hydrating effect on the skin.
I wouldn’t urge you to expect too much out of a toner because even if they do add any brightness or glow to your face, it is quickly covered by layering the next step of skincare and that is a moisturizer.
If you are planning to buy a toner, do it only with the hope to add hydration to your skin with some added benefits that can keep your skin calm and manage the texture of pores on your skin.
What I liked about the product:
- Fuss free packaging.
- Helps to keep pores even and tight.
- Calms down skin.
What I don’t like about the product:
- Quite expensive for a toner.
- Makes many claims with little visible difference.
